France is known for its caverns breaking meters from the shore though up until today barrels have been minimal thus far in the voyage. There are actually very very few local bbers where you guys surfed and all of 'em are pretty mellow, cool and talented. So i reckon you guys have had a hard time with loud and uneducated spanish tourists bbers, definitely not the couple french frogs who rip those beaches.
No gypsy noses here.
Learn, listen, respect and meet people. That's the way to travel.
