The collective is on the Gold Coast with the rest of the frothing surfing world. Every Hazza and his dog is in town but we managed to find a few sneaky beach breaks away from the crowd. All six will be here in a week.

CABO VISIONS

Some more images from our Cabo adventure. After going through the footage the last few days the desert prevailed to be quite a productive four day mission. Gone are the days of choosing a location in a hope for swell. We originally planned to venture down to Panama but ended up circumnavigating the globe and finished our voyage up past the western sahara. Wild two weeks on the road, we should change the blog to swellhunters.com Laird, RCJ, Jugghead may take the boys spots in the collective soon. Surf forecasting is the tits....

North Atlantic

Central America one minute Africa the next.... declining swell in Mex sent the boys on a plane. Mitch, Dusty and Dion spent two days on a delirious mission into the Atlantic coast. After a bumpy five hour drive past camels and goats in trees we finally hit the sack, the next morning was pretty much cooking!

The Desert Affair

Four days in the desert and our crip new suburban looks like a dirty old heap. We crossed the border with D Payne, Coleborn and Yadin. Posting up in a plush villa with waves straight out the front. The first surf was pretty lame and Yadin's trip came to a hault when he tweaked his back..... The right point out frontski is what we came down for but found a crusty left ramp of doom just around the corner. The boys did surf the point on occasion and Mitch locked away the first flip in the Modern Collective piggy bank!

Into the desert

We will be filming the next few days in a secluded little zone south of the cali border!

WAITING

The Next chapter in the Modern Collective project is about to see some light. Mitch Coleborn, Dusty Payne and Yadin Nicol play the waiting game in California as we seek waves in our unpredictable universe. A call is made.... no.. winds look bad... umm maybe.. shit swell looks too south... ahhhh.. our entangled state of affairs is about to come to an end. Expect some visions from the second voyage very sooooon!

Its pretty cool the workload Pro Skaters throw down on their video parts. They spend days trying to stomp a single move. Surfing can be a bitch! waiting for the right section and wind then when the elements combine chances are you blow it... now you will have to wait another few weeks for that sweet section. But when you nail that trick..... boom! thats a keeper.... Modern Collective loves new moves....
