The Glittery Coast

The CT is in town and the beach has been taken over by females and photographers. Big brazilian booties have come close to knocking the boys out on the way the waters edge. This influx of ladies has concocted some wild nights out resulting in a few hazy sessions. Nothing will come close to this coming wednesday when we throw a Modern Collective Party... things could get weird!

Welcome to the Modern Collective MR Smith. His first session seemed to be quite productive indeed, an array of clips from rodeo's to all sorts of fin throwing tom foolery. Dreamy little conditions were coughed up on the strip, the big man decided to do a 720 on a 1 foot wave.... mmm like a rodeo but a flat spin... sounds weird.. looks cool.

With so much footage left in the can after 'Stranger Than Fiction' Poor Specimen has released 'Days of the Strange' the days of filming you didn't see. Plus there is a fresh batch of new bangers from all the usual suspects shot over the last few months (Kelly Slater??) it will be available as a download format soon............

To recreate the emotionally resonant atmosphere of the song on film, The Presets enlisted French director Eva Husson (who directed the short for M83’s Kim and Jessie last year)

Dusty bags a cover and Mitch nails a feature, the latest issue of Stab has the boys soiled throughout. Check Mitch's interview here and look closely at the bottom for one of the wildest comments I have read in a long time! what an egg roll....

The collective is on the Gold Coast with the rest of the frothing surfing world. Every Hazza and his dog is in town but we managed to find a few sneaky beach breaks away from the crowd. All six will be here in a week.

CABO VISIONS

Some more images from our Cabo adventure. After going through the footage the last few days the desert prevailed to be quite a productive four day mission. Gone are the days of choosing a location in a hope for swell. We originally planned to venture down to Panama but ended up circumnavigating the globe and finished our voyage up past the western sahara. Wild two weeks on the road, we should change the blog to swellhunters.com Laird, RCJ, Jugghead may take the boys spots in the collective soon. Surf forecasting is the tits....
